Job Title: Microprocessor Technician at Duncan Stewart

The Microprocessor Technician, under the supervision of the Engineering Services Leader, is responsible for maintaining various plant systems such as electrical, instrument, HVAC, communications, weighing systems, and process control systems.

Overview:

• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic components, including auxiliary equipment, throughout the facility.
• Maintain, upgrade, and optimize PLCs and their programming.
• Participate in initiatives for the digital transformation of Duncan Stewart.

Schedule: 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday with flexibility for weekends and evenings when required.

• Be available for after-hours support as needed.

Required Technical Skills:

• Possess a 2-year degree in electrical, electronics, or electro-mechanical studies or equivalent experience.
• Interpret P&ID and electrical drawings.
• Install conductors and conduit associated with field instrumentation.
• Understand Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and PLCs.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and operating industrial equipment.
• Basic knowledge of industrial processes including drive, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Preferred Technical Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in an industrial setting.
• Proficiency in PLC programming with graphic interfaces.
