    Job Purpose

    This position is responsible for procurement projects that include sourcing, supplier analysis, facilitating decision analysis with stakeholders, and negotiating key contracts that must comply with financial services regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

    This position is the primary procurement contact for assigned business units, commodity codes, contracts, and suppliers.

    The Specialist is accountable for the following components of assigned projects:

    project management of cross-functional stakeholders, supplier sourcing, developing RFx documents for bid events, analyzing supplier responses, and developing DA documents for supplier selection.

    Upon supplier selection, this position negotiates contracts and facilitates contract review across eight cross-functional stakeholder teams, including Vendor Compliance Management, IT GRC, and Legal.

    Additional responsibilities include activities related to assigned commodity codes, such as reviewing and approving requestions to ensure orders are contract and policy compliant (this position does not conduct general buying activities).

    This position supports vendor performance management and tracks assigned contracts for life cycle events.

    Key Accountabilities

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:
    Responsible for project management of cross-functional sourcing and contracting projects
    Contract life cycle management, such as tracking expirations, notifications, and COI due dates.
    Process PERFs and requisitions consistent with procurement SLAs.
    Provide support for special projects and initiatives, including compliance changes, P2P UAT, VCM/GRC supplier audits, and business unit training.

    Qualifications, Experience, and Skills


    Who are we seeking:
    BA/BS degree in business law, or closely related fields or an equivalent combination of education and procurement experience
    A masters degree or ISM certification is a plus.
    5+ years of procurement and contract laws experience with a bachelors degree or 8 years of procurement experience with equivalent combined experience and education


    Other Job Specific Skills:
    Strong negotiation skills required.
    Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
    Project management education or experience helpful.
    Computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of MS applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
    Familiarity with PeopleSoft Ariba, SAP, or significant ERP system(s)
    Experience with MS Project, Visio, or similar programs desired
