    Position Summary Entry level position. Provides medical/clinical genetic services to individuals and families with a known or suspected inherited condition.

    Provides information and counseling, coordinates genetic testing, evaluates and determines individuals' and/or families' needs and makes appropriate referrals based on these evaluations.

    Participates in education and professional development activities. Required For All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.

    Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

    Qualifications Qualifications Education Master's Degree From an accredited genetic counseling training program Required Work Experience Entry level position Required and less than 1 year Experience Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Clinical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
