- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
- Associates Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- RN License - Currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts
- CPR
- ONCC- Oncology Nurse certification within 24 months of hire.

- Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulations. Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice. Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner.
Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.

- ONS Chemo/BIO course must be completed within 12 months and renewed every two years.

c.112.Included in such responsibility is providing nursing care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, planning and restoration for optimal functioning and comfort, of those they serve.
The Registered Professional Nurse functions as a health care team leader responsible for the safe delivery of patient-centered, goal oriented care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
The Registered Professional Nurse also directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Demonstrated knowledge of procedure for administration of blood components. Demonstrates knowledge of vascular anatomy. Proficient in venipuncture skills. Adept in the administration of chemotherapeutic agents with knowledge of adverse systemic reactions. Must be able to intervene appropriately. Demonstrates capability of sharing knowledge regarding oncology care and infusion therapy and the care of patients receiving these treatments.
Acts as a resource for patients and peers Must meet the physical requirements of the position, as outlined in the job description available through the Human Resources department.
