- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to present information in one-on-one, virtual, small group, and large group environments to students, parents, and district staff.
- Experience in educational setting preferred.
- Complete intake process procedures immediately after receiving approved student placement request from the Student Services Department and intake packet from home campus.
- Facilitates intake appointments for various student populations, programs, and select grade levels.
- Communicate and share student intake and placement information with appropriate staff.
- Assists with classroom coverage as needed.
- Assists with student assessments (STAAR, TELPAS, etc.) as needed.
- Help students to evaluate decision-making skills, degree of responsibility, and quality of choices during the student intake process.
- Identify student needs and coordinate with campus and district personnel for resources.
- Organize and maintain confidential files on each student.
- Maintain open communication between the student, parents, and staff.
- Maintain system of on-going effective communication with campus administrators, counselors, and other stakeholders as necessary.
- Obtain and disseminate educational information to students and parents.
- Participate in in-service and staff training programs.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain an appropriate level of technology competence to meet the current and future needs of Alief.
- Implement alternative methods of instruction as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Purpose:
To provide transitional support and services for all students transitioning into the ALC program. Also, provide support and guidance to home campuses in the student placement process.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Program Management
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals
Posture: Standing, prolonged sitting, occasional kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; may also require climbing stairs and reaching over head
Lifting: Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 15 pounds); May require occasional heavy lifting and carrying pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; some district wide travel; all campuses are temperature controlled with hard surface floors
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
