Job Title: Special Needs Paraprofessional

Salary: $15.75 per hour.

About the Role

We are seeking a Christ-centered special needs paraprofessional to support students with special needs in our school ministry.

The ideal candidate will work alongside the student services team, possibly assigned teachers, and complete required training and coursework.

This role involves supporting students with special needs, providing small group and tutorial instruction, and communicating effectively with staff, students, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special needs in their educational, physical, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Provide small group and tutorial instruction as needed or assigned.
• Work closely with teachers, the student services team, and other paraprofessionals to meet student needs.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
• Use de-escalation techniques and behavior modifications as needed.
• Assist in management and discipline of students.

Requirements

• Evidence of Christian maturity.
• Strong grasp of Christian education principles.
• Experience working with students with special needs.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use computer or telephone as needed.
• Physical stamina to stand, sit, walk, reach, and bend.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Show evidence of Christian maturity.
• Have a strong grasp of the essence of Christian education.
• Experience and/or willing to work with students with special needs.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training - training provided.
• Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.

Spiritual Expectations
