    MIT Lincoln Laboratory (LL) is a Department of Defense Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) chartered to develop advanced technology in support of national security.

    Research and development activities focus on long-term technology development as well as rapid system prototyping and demonstration.

    The Laboratory works with government and industry to transition new concepts, technology and prototypes into future system development and deployment.

    In this role you will be a key member of our Financial Services Quality Assurance and Internal Controls (QA/IC) team, charged with reinventing our QA/IC program in alignment with finance transformation initiatives.

    We aim to deliver a modern, agile program that integrates risk management and controls into all projects and services, and drives value for our stakeholders.

    Together we will ensure that risks are understood, controls are well designed and operating, and opportunities for improvement are solutioned in collaboration with our team of experts.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Participate in program design and implementation
    • Contribute to scoping and risk assessments
    • Support QA/IC aspects of finance transformation efforts with emphasis on leveraging technology to reduce risk through automation, simplification, and transparency
    • Work with process owners to document end-to-end processes, identify risks and controls, and perform controls testing
    • Support remediation efforts (in collaboration with process owners, IT resources, and other internal experts)
    • Track and monitor program actions and metrics
    • Assist with end user training and support
    • Explore and implement technology to streamline QA/IC activities
    • Support internal/external audits in conjunction with Accounting team members
    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline; CPA, CIA, CISA preferred
    • 3+ years of experience in internal audit, compliance, finance, or business transformation in public sector / government or commercial setting
    • Technology acclimation including experience with audit analytics, IT General Controls and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
    • Familiarity with internal control concepts, practices related to financial processes
    • Organizational and project management skills combined with attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Advanced MS office skills (Excel, Visio or other process flow software, PowerPoint, Word)
    • Ability to maintain a government security clearance
    • Ability to work onsite as needed (hybrid with flexibility)
