    Description

    We are currently hiring for an Anatomic Pathology Technician in the greater Columbus area This is a long-term, first shift, career opportunity

    Position details:

    • The primary role is to perform necropsy examinations of small and large laboratory animals to include gross necropsy tissue collection fixation and labeling of specimens.
    • Trim tissues into cassettes for the histopathology team.
    • Contributing to the development and validation of equipment and necropsy activities.
    • Understanding and performing dilutions including mathematical calculations involved.
    • Use proper technique to operate necessary equipment to produce high quality data.
    • Perform routine maintenance and/or calibration of equipment as necessary. Prepare maintain and archive equipment logbooks.
    • Read SOPs methods facility guidelines etc. used in workplace in a timely manner and adhere to these procedures.
    • Record data and perform quality control reviews in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices GLP.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Zoology, Veterinary Science, or closely related field of study
    • Hands on experience working with animals is highly preferred, but not required.
