- A workplace safety-oriented mindset
- An Associate degree in engineering, electronics, or a related field of study with 1-5 years' experience.
- Other equivalent combinations of education and technical experience may also be considered.
- Knowledge of control systems, electrical systems and communication equipment.
- An understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to use hand tools, wrenches and other equipment.
- Familiarity with acceptable safety practices and OSHA requirements.
- A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Operate and maintain our combustion turbines and plant systems at Anderson and Richmond.
- Operate environmental and other monitoring equipment.
- Ensure compliance with operating permit limits, standard IMPA procedures and NERC and RFC reliability standards.
- Operate high voltage switchyard circuit breakers.
- Monitor transformer instrumentation.
- Other duties as necessary, including procurement of parts and supplies, preventive maintenance activities and maintaining environmental monitoring equipment.
- Ensure compliance with our safety standards and procedures including the safety tagging and lockout of electrical and mechanical systems.

At IMPA, we support 61 communities in Indiana and Ohio through providing low-cost, reliable, and environmentally responsible electricity, as well as a variety of other services to help in the overall success of each town or city.
IMPA is planning to add a Combustion Turbine Operator/Technician to our generation team.IMPA's CT Operator/Technicians maintain and operate our combustion turbines and electric generators in Anderson and Richmond, Indiana, to achieve the highest levels of reliability and performance. This is a full-time position and will be primarily based in Richmond, Indiana, with some travel to our plant in Anderson, Indiana.
