Executive Director Location: 3310 Lime Ave Signal Hill (2 days weekly) + virtual (3 days weekly)

Dramatic Results , a non-profit arts education agency, is looking for a Program Manager to undertake a variety of administrative and management tasks.

The agency focuses on historically excluded youth, particularly in Title I elementary and middle schools throughout LA County. Our vision is to reinvent the learning experience. We make learning real by engaging educators and learners through collaborative hands-on projects that impact the practice of education. This position has lots of opportunities to shape programs and contribute towards the strategic vision of the agency. Our ideal candidate is experienced in communication and program development (with a background in education or arts integration) and is comfortable taking initiative

Responsibilities

40% Programmatic, 30% Communication, 30% Administrative

• Open to thinking critically about diversity, equity, access and inclusion (DEAI) and its relevance to delivering culturally relevant programming—we are not expecting candidates to be experts, but are looking for someone who is willing to grow their own self-awareness of bias
• Federal SEED Project: Oversee communication between Dramatic Results and our partner Ecosystems across 3 states, as well as internal platforms for project management
• Federal SEED Project: Provide ongoing coaching and support to partners in areas such as program development, student recruitment, and organization
• Lead the development of new programs to support the agency's strategic direction, working closely with the Curriculum Manager as a thought partner
• Supervise team of part-time Teaching Artists; recruit and train as needed
• Observe programs and give constructive feedback relevant to agency goals
• Fill in for teaching staff to ensure effective and timely program delivery
• Track program budgets and work with Executive Director on changes as needed
• Manage scheduling, materials and logistics both internally and externally for all programs
• Oversee the data management for programs (i.e., number of students enrolled in each classroom, teacher contacts, tracking photo consent forms, surveys, and focus groups)
• Support fundraising efforts for increased fee-for-service contracts, as well as foundation, state, county, and federal grants
• Coordinate with marketing staff for the procurement of images/videos/testimonials; support efforts to document the learning process, successes, and growth opportunities
• Develop positive relationships with schools, partners, and stakeholders to ensure accountability for optimal impact of program delivery
• Actively participate in all professional development as a participant and/or facilitator
• Regularly share pertinent program updates in all staff, programs, and strategic meetings
• Aid Dramatic Results staff members on various tasks and projects as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience with K-12 public education
• Background in delivering arts integrated program to historically oppressed students
• Experience with implementing program evaluation and the Design Thinking Process
• High degree of attention to detail and follow-through with projects and people
• Work effectively with a variety of timelines, priorities, and personalities
• Track record for initiating improvements and holding self and others accountable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Technologically advanced: comfortable using project management software, data analytics tools, and communication platforms
• Fluent in Spanish, additional languages preferred

Day in the Life

You log-on and begin your morning routine: favorite playlist on and coffee nearby, you review the calendar and check messages from the teaching staff and school partners.

You're excited to visit one of our WVUSD schools to observe lesson three of the STEAM+ Theater program.

When you arrive, a Teaching Artist has called out sick at another site, you send the teaching team a message through the group What's App asking who can fill in.

You jump into your site observation, collecting feedback from classroom teachers and supporting Teaching Artists. Time for a lunch break.

Back home, you hop online to order program materials and update shift schedules before checking in with the Curriculum Manager.

You have an All Ecosystem SEED Project meeting tomorrow morning and are reviewing the agenda to make sure all relevant updates have been included.

The day is almost over when you notice there's a message from the Grants Manager reminding you that evaluations need to be completed next week.

You add the task to your calendar, and finally upload some program pics to the team Slack channel. You end your day knowing you've helped ensure quality programming for hundreds of students across Southern California and beyond.
