The responsibilities of the Senior Clerk includes, but is not limited to cash collection and accounts receivable solution.This also includes verification of patient insurance coverage, updating both patient demographic and insurance information, communicating payers trends, claim logic, reimbursement and rejection trends as well as errors to management, phone interaction with both insurance carriers and patients and other third-party as needed.
Use of various billing systems such as hospital, physician billing and registration systems, Internet for provider information, websites for various insurance payers.
