- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
- Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing and treasury.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Meet processing and reporting deadlines.
- Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Serve as payroll expert that can be called on to process payroll through Netchex and QuickBooks as well as make requisite journal entries as needed.
- Meet and uphold A&R Hospitality's Culture, Mission and Values.
- Assist the Senior Controller as needed, accounting team and payroll function as needed.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- Two (2) years related experience in accounting, maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office software required.
- Expert in QuickBooks required.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- M3 Accounting Core system experience.
- Hotel experience preferred.
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple deliverables at one time.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate with business partners and management regarding accounting related matters.
- Ability to remain positive under pressure and to motivate team members with a focus on continual staff development.
- Individual must be a team player and be able to work independently.
- Self-Starting attitude.
- Problem Solving skills.
- High level of initiative.
- Must be willing and able to sign A&R Hospitality's non-disclosure and non-compete agreements.
- Regularly required to operate a variety of automated office machines which includes a computer, printer, facsimile machine, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc.
- Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials.
- Must be able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally and up to ten pounds of force frequently.
- Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
- Regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills; and interact with staff, other organizations and the public.

Description
SCOPE OF WORK
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, payroll, and maintaining accounts payable documentation.
