- Work in a single CT room at an 89-bed acute care teaching hospital
- Serves ED, inpatient, and outpatient care areas
- Primarily adult and geriatric patients with some pediatric cases
- Outpatient cases include oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, and trauma
- Biopsy procedures performed (training provided, prior experience not required)
- Average of 25–30 scans per day
- Variable shifts covering a 24/7 department — specific shift (days or nights) will vary based on departmental need
- 36 hours per week with weekend rotation as needed
- No call required
- Holiday coverage done in rotation with other staff
- Uses Siemens X.Cite and GE 16-slice PET CT (used as backup); experience with Siemens and GE preferred but not required
- EMR: Cerner; PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
- Fixed assignment to the CT department — no floating required
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Orientation is 1 to 1.5 weeks depending on experience and comfort level
- Department is staffed with a Lead Tech, 2 techs on weekdays and evenings, and 1 tech on weekends
- Radiologist is on site and internal transport is available
- Candidates must be willing to work variable day and night shifts throughout the contract, as shift assignment is based on departmental need
- Scrubs may be any solid professional color; facility-provided scrubs are available if needed
- Flu vaccination is required; medical exemptions only are accepted and subject to client review (minimum 2-week review period required)
- RTO requires manager approval and must be submitted at time of consideration
- Free parking available on site
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
- ARRT (R) and (CT) certifications required
- Current BLS required
- ME state license or compact license required — license required if applicable
- Proficiency with CTA studies and general CT studies
- IV start skills preferred
- Experience with Toshiba and/or GE equipment preferred
- Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of Bangor, ME
- Candidates must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
- 2 professional references within the past year required, at least one from a supervisor, manager, or director (charge nurse acceptable; peer references not accepted)
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Full SSN required for consideration
- Flu vaccination required for clearance to start
