    Job SummaryThe Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing or managing the development of the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while optimizing plant utilization and inventory.

    The qualified individual will be responsible for providing a monthly production plan consistent with capacity and the sales forecast for assigned plants and third-party manufacturers both domestic and international for a rolling 3 months and RCCP for 3-24 months.

    This position manages inventory, disposition of slow moving and obsolete finished goods, and develops and drives continuous & process improvement initiatives across the supply chain that creates capacity, reduces inventory and/or improves service.

    Primary Responsibilities Create a rolling 3-6 month Master Production Plan for designated plants.

    Utilize the production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, historical sales, raw material availability, resources and new business opportunities.

    Analyze and identify risks associated with the Master Production Plan. Collaborate with appropriate functions to address identified risks and propose solutions.

    Provide high level direction and support of plant production planning/scheduling, raw material planning and logistics through the production process, making decisions on change of direction to meet customer needs.

    Exercises high degree of discretion and judgment and establishes priorities regarding the planning of goods throughout the production floor working with Synthomer's Commercial Team and Customer Service Team Leads/Manager and Logistics.

    Daily communication with Customer Service to effectively manage customer orders.
    Using all resources available, anticipates issues that impact the organization's ability to meet its' commitments and goals. Develops plans to proactively address these and other issues. Works with management teams to execute these plans.

    Perform supply-demand analysis each month for the next 3-18 months, consistent with IBP processes, highlighting resource and capacity gaps that require further action.

    Collaborate with raw material planner regarding raw material requirements and ability to service for the next 24 months and highlight areas of concern that require action.

    Manage production plan to achieve targeted service and inventory levels on both a cost and unit basis.
    Ensure coordination with plant production planner/schedulers to execute towards the monthly Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis.
    Identify gaps and drive solutions on production performance relative to the requested production schedule.
    Timely reporting of key metrics and actions to address shortfalls.

    Support/Lead the S&OP/IBP site supply review meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications.

    Update the Master Production Plan as necessary.
    Analyze key information which includes downtime, production volumes, inventory, and schedule attainment to drive improvement actions.

    Identify need, conduct analysis and create master production plan for third party manufacturers when beneficial and manage day to day achievement of plan.

    QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations, or related fieldA minimum of 5 years of experience in a Production planning/scheduler roleSupervisory experienceExperience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurementsExperience using MRP / ERP systems, preferably SAPAPICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferredSound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes.

    Advanced MS Excel (complete statistical analysis to uncover patterns and trend, create charts from table data in various formats, perform calculations and vertical lookups, and create pivot tables from data sets).Ability to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast paced, high pressure environmentKnowledge of general accounting; production assembly procedures, techniques and tooling; material and capacity planning and forecasting; and product bill of material procedures.

    Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.
    Strong communication and presentation skills.
    Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
    Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
