    Description
    A well-established, privately held Real Estate company looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join their team.

    This candidate will be responsible for accounting functions primarily related to their rapidly growing portfolio of industrial properties; including assisting in the preparation, review and maintenance of the general ledger and related financial statements.


    Responsibilities:
    Assist with the preparation of financial statements. Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers. Post journal entries for accrued expenses and revenue. Maintain and record fixed assets and related depreciation/amortization. Analyze revenue and expenses to ensure that they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis. Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities and reconcile any intercompany receivables and payables.

    Assist with preparing and analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and research and report on significant and/or unusual variances and trends.

    Prepare internal financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule. Assist with budget and forecast preparation. Coordination of annual audit and tax document preparation. Track and monitor tenant lease obligations.

    Prepare lender and joint venture partner reporting packages and calculate and monitor financial debt covenants and joint venture partners equity contributions and distributions.

    Other duties and responsibilities, including special projects as assigned.


    Requirements:
    Minimum 4 years relevant industrial property accounting experience. Bachelor degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar field. Excellent computer skills, including advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience with MRI, Yardi and/or other real estate accounting software systems.
