    COTA - Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

    Come join us at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of QueensA Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 1971, Ozanam Hall isguided by the Carmelite Mission which is woven throughout the facility and bound together by the strength and guidance of Mother Angeline to provide the highest quality of care to enhance our residents' physical, spiritual and emotional well-being.

    We are seeking to fill the position of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA.

    ** $30 to $32.56 per hour based on experience **

    Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA Qualifications:
    • Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Program.
    • Licensed and in good standing in the State of New York and current registration (Should be a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association).
    • One year of experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
    • Knowledge of wheelchairs and Casamba EMR software a plus
    Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA Job Summary:
    • Prepare and provide treatments and activity programs for residents under the supervision of an OTR.
    • Assist with data collection and evaluation under the supervision of the OTR.
    • Complete required documentation, develop treatment goals, and coordinate treatment plans under the supervision of the OTR.
    • Adapt intervention environment, tools, materials, and activities.
    • Maintain equipment area, equipment, and supply inventory.
    • Assist in In-Service Education Program.
    • Perform other related tasks as directed by Director of Rehab or Supervising OTR.
