    Pay Range: $12 - $14 / Hourly

    Job Status: Seasonal (120 days or less); Days, Evenings, and/or Weekends

    JOB SUMMARY

    Sprayground/Concession Attendants are responsible for performing a variety of duties to prepare the Sprayground area for the demands of the patrons, daily supervision, and enforcing sprayground rules. This position is also responsible for working in the concession stand and handling money. Must be available: Late May through August/September, Days, Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays (mandatory). Locations: Riverside Park and East Roswell Park.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Routine cleaning of Sprayground and concessions.
    • Promotes a safe, clean, and fun environment for guests
    • Follows operational procedures
    • Promotes and operates facilities within departmental policies
    • Ability to maintain/handle cash for admissions and concessions
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Experience:

    Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and must be able to work in a team atmosphere, display good customer relations skills, and maintain cash and facility controls. First Aid and/or CPR certification is highly preferred. General computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word are preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

    Licenses or Certifications:
    • Driver License preferred
    • CPR certified - training will be provided if not currently certified
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Ability to use good judgment at all times and be aware of immediate surroundings.
    • Must work closely with co-workers and the public.
    • Experiences ongoing concern for all safety and liability issues.
    • Ability to deal with other people under stressful situations.
    • Should be prepared to work under stressful situations when First Aid or CPR are required.
    • Must be dependable, punctual, alert, and able to respond to situations quickly and accurately.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The work is outdoors in which heat and sun are a factor(concessions are climate controlled). Must be able to work around pool chemicals and treated water. The work requires the ability to exert light to medium physical effort, will involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of weight (5-30 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time outdoors. Tasks also require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals. The work requires the ability to communicate orally and at loud volume if needed.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Work is regularly performed in the exposure of the outdoor elements (heat, sun, rain).
