Title: HVAC/R Tech – with Controls experience

About the Role:

Immediate opening for 2 Commercial HVAC Tech positions. This is a mid tier experienced HVAC tech position for commercial heating & air and refrigeration and control systems. • This is a full-time position with consistent optional overtime.
• Oncall 1 X a month, dispatched from home local travel, NO overnight

Responsibilities:

• Commercial HVAC Maintenance Tech, to work with Installation & repair of Commercial Heating and Cooling systems, & Controls
• HVAC Startup, Warranty, and Factory Support
• Configure unit controllers and VFD's to match the design intent and sequence of operations.
• Proficient with computer interface for controls setup and possesses a good working understanding of BAS controls.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location and operation of the system(s).
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures
• Program the unit controller and VFD's to match the design intent and sequence of operations.
• Proficient with computer interface for controls setup and possesses a good working understanding of BAS controls.
• Providing excellent customer service, and troubleshooting, problem solving, diagnosing and replacement recommendations for refrigeration and heating systems
• Will need to interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location and operation of the system(s).
• Advise Service Coordinator of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
• Able to check safety & limit controls.
• PM & repair and assist in change outs of Commercial, Rooftop packages up to 30 tons and split units.
• Service Cooling Towers, Heat Pumps, Split systems, pneumatic control systems, Data Centers, Server Rooms and Rooftop Units, refrigeration systems, DDC Controls for mission critical HVAC Clients

Requirements

• Troubleshoot and maintain package units, high tonnage chillers, pump towers, cooling towers control systems, high tonnage boilers
• Able to work on 100 CHW AHUs up to 3 phases
• Equipment is with ABB ACH580 drives, direct drive fans, and Allen Bradley Micro-Logix PLC's, large multi-phase new construction projects
• Mechanical skills required to work on a variety of complex HVAC systems including fans, compressors,
• motor bearings, refrigeration circuits, burner set up, heat wheels, etc.
• Must have current OSHA 10 Training.
• Comfortable working around 5-ton to 200-ton package rooftop units under the direct supervision of a Lead Tech.
• Moderate PC skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Understanding Real Time Energy Management (RTEM) enabling Client
• Lift & move 75 lbs
• Have hand tools
• 3+ years experience working with commercial HVAC systems, Controls, startup and refrigeration.
• Will need experience with boilers, chillers, and pneumatic controls, digital controls and packaged HVAC equipment.
• Universal EPA certified
• Journeyman HVAC preferred but not required.
• Clean driving record.
