Susquehanna Health and Wellness Center is currently looking for a Full Time Director of Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with leading our nursing team in our 4-Star Quality Measures facilityWe are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic candidate to join our exceptional leadership team Transforming traditional "nursing homes" into skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities is the focus at Susquehanna. We are fully committed to providing compassionate, family-oriented short and long-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care.

Requirements of the Director of Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN):

• Registered Nurse (RN) with effective leadership & supervisory skills in a long-term care setting
• At least 2 years of leadership experience at a Long Term Care Facility
• Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations
• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Director of Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN):

• Report all reportable diseases to the county and state health departments
• Assist with in-services on wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and incontinence for the nursing staff.
• Participate in planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training classes for CNAs/GNAs and any other nursing personnel that provide instructions on "how to do the job," and ensure a well-educated nursing service department.
• Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
• Assist in training department personnel in identifying tasks that involve potential exposure to blood or body fluids.
