Overview:
Jazz Solutions is seeking a Tester/ Software Test Engineer to join our team. This position can be 100% remote within the United States.
What you will do in this role:
Using the software as intended to analyze the functional requirements.
Designing manual and automated test procedures to evaluate each software product, as appropriate.
Running test programs to ensure that testing protocols evaluate the software correctly, as appropriate.
Tweaking the software testing systems for maximum performance.
Finalizing and documenting testing procedures.
Completing final tests and creating test reports.
Manually executing/deploying test cases
Presenting test reports to scrum team and suggesting software fixes.
Supports technical troubleshooting activities
Develop, execute high quality reusable test cases for Microservices written in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API's
Documents defects using JIRA or excel based on the project and collaborate with development team on managing test results and feedback to developers
Perform tasks required for manual and automated test implementation including review acceptance criteria, create integration/regression test scenarios, test cases, implement test data management strategy, and generate required reports in JIRA
What You Must Have:
5+ of related experience testing REST, JSON, and backend APIs (SOAP UI, PostMan, or ReadyAPI)
Ability to write and execute automation scripts by using SOAP UI and/or ReadyAPI
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
Knowledge of common web development frameworks (Angular, Docker, React, Spring, , jQuery, Microservice Design, etc.)
Experience working in a Database and running MySQL queries
Experience creating reports in ReadyAPI
Experience using Jira
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
Skilled in reviewing technical specifications, business requirements and similar documents to assess required test coverage
Ability to work both in a team cross functional environment and independently
What We Would Like You to Have:
ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level and/or ISTQB Agile Tester Certifications
Experience with Agile methodologies
Background in Federal Student Aid
