    Description

    We are seeking a Senior Research Data Analyst in Vector-Borne Disease Epidemiology who can conduct statistical and epidemiological analyses focused on vector-borne disease transmission.

    Job Description:

    This project will focus on the use of various data sets (behavioral, genomic, serological, immunological, and epidemiological) to understand transmission patterns of vector-borne diseases including malaria, dengue, and Zika.

    The position will require the development, evaluation, and investigation of statistical frameworks to understand disease transmission and ultimately inform public health policy.

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Developing statistical models to understand vector-borne disease transmission.
    • Writing scientific manuscripts, public health reports, and scientific presentations.

    Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Infectious disease modeling.
    • Coding in R.
    • Management of big data.
    • Experience in primary data collection.
    • Experience in molecular epidemiology.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in related discipline. Typically require PhD.
    • One year related experience. Require highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research.
    • Experience in conducting analyses of vector-borne diseases epidemiological data sets.
    • Demonstrated ability on significant graduate project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in mathematical modeling, genomic or immunological research experience.
