    Description

    ASSISTANT CONTROLLER

    ABOUT THE COMPANY:

    • We are looking for a detail-oriented, motivated, and experienced Assistant Controller to help oversee the daily operations of the accounting department for a manufacturing company.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Financial Reporting ?: The Assistant Controller prepares and analyzes financial statements in line with accounting principles.
    • Month-end & Year-end Close ??: Supports closing processes and audit preparation.
    • General Ledger Management ?: Maintains and reconciles the general ledger accurately.
    • Financial Analysis ?: The Assistant Controller conducts analysis to identify trends and variances.
    • Internal Controls ?: Assists in implementing internal control procedures.
    • Auditing & Compliance ?: The Assistant Controller collaborates with auditors and ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Team Coordination ?: The Assistant Controller provides guidance to the accounting team.
    • Process Improvement ?: Reviews and optimizes accounting processes.
    • Technology Integration ??: Supports accounting software implementation and maintenance.
    • Special Projects ?: The Assistant Controller participates in strategic initiatives and projects.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; an MBA or CPA certification is preferred.
    • Strong Excel skills, including a working knowledge of pivot tables.
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proven experience in financial forecasting and budgeting.
