    At NJM Insurance Group (NJM), a top-rated insurance company, our General Claims department in Parsippany, NJ is looking for a Property Damage Representative candidate who has excellent communication skills as well as strong organizational and time management skills.

    We are looking for talent with and without prior experience in the insurance industry.
    Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with work from home opportunities.
    Level I - $48K - $55K annually based on experience Level II - $55K+ annually based on experience Sr - $73K+ annually based on experienceResponsibilitiesAppropriately handle, settle and close property damage (automobile) claims by bringing a prompt and amicable resolutionVerify coverage, open claims, contact parties involvedVerify and investigate information presented by first and third party claimantsSchedule appraisals or repair facilities, assess related damageContact witnesses, police departments, attorneys or other insurance companiesClaims are settled and negotiated based on company guidelines and applicable lawRequirementsLevel I
    • Customer service experience or experience interacting with the public in a professional setting is required or Bachelors degreeLevel II
    • Minimum 2 yrs.
    experience as a Property Damage/Auto Claims AdjusterSr Level
    • Minimum 4 yrs.
    experience as a Property Damage/Auto Claims Adjuster and completion of AIC/CPCU or licensed to adjust claims in Texas or ConnecticutBachelors degree is a plusKnowledge of Claims or Personal Lines area are a plusRequires strong oral and written communication skillsAbility to deliver a high-quality customer service experience while showing empathy and kindness to customers in needMulti-tasking, problem-solving and decision-making skillsTechnical aptitude, including a working knowledge with Microsoft OfficeAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to juggle multiple priorities and manage time effectivelyAbility to think critically, use resources and seek answersLegal
