    Job Summary: The Physician provides licensed medical care including diagnosis, treatment (inclusive of surgery or pre/post-surgical care where appropriate), case management and clinical research.The Physician manages complex and sometimes unpredictable situations. The Physician must be competent in technical, clinical and surgical skills (where appropriate), cognitive and interpersonal skills required to serve those patients receiving the above mentioned services.The Physician is expected to practice within the established Medical Center and physicians standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols), and adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center.

    Required Qualifications: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), board certified or board eligible in specialization required. State of Ohio and DEA licensure required.

    The Department of Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an exceptional full-time early- to -mid-career faculty with expertise in hepatopancreaticobiliary surgeryto join our elite team of surgeons in the Division of Surgical Oncology. The accomplished surgeon will join an established and high-volume practice which cares for patients with benign and malignant hepatobiliary, pancreatic, biliary tract, and gastrointestinal diseases. Expertise in robotic and minimally invasive surgery are preferred but not required. Successful candidates will be fellowship-trained in oncological surgery and have expertise in hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery. Candidates should be committed to patient care, resident, and medical student education and scholarly activity that advance clinical medicine. The position is ideal for applicants with excellent clinical outcomes and strong interpersonal skills. The individual will participate in the expansion of programmatic initiatives and research studies in collaboration with other faculty, residents, and medical students. A strong research program infrastructure exists, and there are multiple opportunities for engagement in clinical and translational researchThe position will be located on our main campus at The James Comprehensive Cancer Center (The OSUCCC).

    Requirements
    Successful completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency
    Completion of a Surgical Oncology Fellowship
    Board certified/ eligible in Surgery
    Demonstrated experience in basic or clinical research
    Strong commitment to teaching
    Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
