We are hiring a full-time **Caf Host Cashier** for our dining venue, the Go To Caf. Reporting to the Caf Supervisor, this position is Monday through Friday 7am 3:30pm and is responsible for creating a warm and inviting dining experience for residents, team members, and visitors. The Caf Host/Customer Service Specialist is often the first person a customer encounters at the caf and will be a source of information regarding the menu and food offerings. They're also responsible for collecting customer feedback and problem solving when issues arise.
**What you'll do:**
Maintain high-quality customer service and serve as the primary person responsible for caf customer service
Be critically aware of the importance of adherence to sanitation guidelines to create customer confidence in dining operations
Maintain high standards of customer service, present a neat and clean appearance and create a warm and inviting dining environment for our customer
Ensure that all orders for front of the house supplies are communicated to the Caf Supervisor for approval and to maintain inventory
Become a subject matter expert on our POS system, FOCUS, and provide cross-training to other team members as needed
Promptly complete caf opening and closing duties
Keep beverage station, condiments, silverware, and all customer supplies stocked before, during, and after service
Ensure that the front of the house, including indoor and outdoor dining areas, bathrooms, and entrances, are being properly maintained and cleaned regularly
Oversee the Grab and Go offerings and perform a daily inventory and restocking. Ensuring that consistent rotation of food and beverage products occurs to reduce waste and potential for poor food and beverage quality
Complete daily sales report and ensure that revenue and sales are reconciled
Communicate with the Caf Supervisor and other team members as necessary to ensure smooth and consistent operation of caf and customer satisfaction
Cross-train with the caf team members and provide coverage in all areas of the caf and work collaboratively with team members until all daily responsibilities are completed
**What you'll need:**
Minimum of one year of experience in foodservice operations
Working knowledge of sanitary standards related to food handling and preparation
Knowledge to serve meals in an appealing and appetizing manner
Ability to operate assigned equipment and technology
Familiarity with foods and various preparation methods
Superior interpersonal skills
Enjoy interacting with a diverse customer base
Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy
Proactive planning and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt with minimal supervision
**Compensation:** $16 - $16.50 per hour based on experience and skillset and includes our comprehensive benefits package
