    Nexus-Gerard is hiring On-Call Youth Care Professionals in Austin, MN

    Work 3 or more 8-hour shifts per month based on YOUR availabilityOffering a $500 Hiring Bonus

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide supervision of client daily activities and behavior according to established trauma-informed, strengths-based guidelines and procedures.
    • Coach clients to follow daily schedules and activities established for the program, including school, therapy sessions, external appointments, etc.
    • Administer medications per established protocols and generate related recording requirements accurately.
    • Participate with coworkers as a team on implementation of trauma-informed, strengths-based treatment plans and therapeutic services.
    • Implement clients' individual treatment plans and remain cognizant of each client's needs and interventions, privileges, restrictions, and trauma triggers, adapt interactions accordingly, and communicate with team members and families as appropriate.
    • Comply with all documentation and standards including, but not limited to, critical incident reporting, and inform families as appropriate.
    • Ensure compliance with all emotional and physical safety policies and procedures involving living areas, buildings, campus grounds, and while attending off-campus activities.
    • Report to supervisor, team members, and families any signs and symptoms potentially requiring intervention or referral (suicidal or violent tendencies, self-mutilation, eating disorders, traumatic responses, etc.).
    • Perform First Aid/CPR procedures and respond according to established protocols in the event of an emergency situation.
    • Perform restraints and seclusion activities as necessary to keep clients safe from self and others and report incidents to the proper individuals, to include families.
    • Maintain appropriate boundaries in all interaction and contact with clients and their families.
    • Comply with Nexus policies involving privacy and confidentiality for clients and their families.
    • Participate in off-campus client activities and assist in the transportation of client for homevisits, doctor appointments, planned recreational activities, etc.

      QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Minimum 21 years of age.
    • Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements.
    All positions require 2 weeks of training from 8:30am-4:30pm.
