Are you ready to make an impact?About The Role
FTI Consulting's North America Core Accounting ("NACA") Team provides accounting support to our client service professionals so that they are able meet and exceed the needs of our clients.
Accounting Professionals within the NACA team are dedicated to working together and delivering world class support across our global community.
This position will primarily focus on the accounting for segment finance activities, primarily revenue recognition. This person will report to the NACA Senior Manager and interact with segment finance leads.What You'll Do
Review sales contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition.
Analyze and understand the practices within the segment to ensure proper revenue recognition and proper setup in the system.
Prepare revenue journal entries and account reconciliations.
Calculate revenue reserves and document reserve assessment under ASC 606.
Create and analyze revenue related reports.
Document revenue-related policies and procedures.
Assess and document collectability risk due to aging work-in-progress (WIP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Identify process issues and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Support and improve month, quarter, and year-end close processes, reporting, and audits.
Prepare and post other monthly journal entries including bad debt expense and ad hoc entries.
Maintain Journal Entry tracker and ensure all journal entries are supported with strong documentation and required approvals.
Support other special projects and duties as directed by the NACA Senior Manager.

What You Will Need To SucceedBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4+ years of relevant post-graduate professional accounting experience
Strong and practical working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
Advanced knowledge of excel; ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data
Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or CPA Candidate
Working knowledge of general ledger and other accounting/reporting systems
Experience working with both domestic and international operating units
Experience working in an ERP environment
