- Handle cases by bringing cases to settlement or trial; planning, organizing, and presenting arguments and counter-arguments.
- Maintain rapport with clients through regular contact and satisfying client needs.
- Prepare cases for litigation by drafting and filing lawsuits; evaluating cases; completing discovery.
- Take and defend depositions including client and expert depositions
- Provide clients with legal advice by conducting legal research; updating clients regarding case developments; explaining legal concepts to clients.
- Draft opinions based on review of client's governing documents (CC&Rs, Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, Policies, etc.) as well as state and federal laws.
- Prepare vendor contracts
- Prepare and draft letters and legal documents on behalf of clients
- Attend board meetings (Zoom and in-person)
- HOA experience is not required
- Licensed CA attorney, in good standing
- Substantial litigation experience
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling client matters, and adhering to strict deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
- Must possess analytical, legal research and writing skills

Prominent law firm located in Agoura Hills and Laguna Hills, CA is seeking a litigation attorney with 3 to 5+ years of corporate or business law related experience to assist with HOA and real estate matters in either of our office locations.
As a full-service law firm, they handle all general counsel services, litigation, and collections (using judicial foreclosure). As a result, they are able to serve clients ranging from large associations exceeding 10,000 separate interests to associations with less than four separate interests. We represent single family home developments, condominium complexes, high rises, commercial developments and mix-use communities throughout Southern California.
