    Cadmus Portfolio Evaluation Practice Lead in Boulder , Colorado OverviewWhat Youll Be DoingCadmus seeks a Portfolio Evaluation Practice Lead to run the Program Evaluation & Performance team, part of the Energy Services Division at Cadmus.

    This team is primarily focused on Evaluation, Measurement and Verification (EM&V) engineering and assists clients in quantifying the performance of energy efficiency projects, evaluating energy efficiency and clean energy programs, providing actionable insights for clients through engineering studies, analysis, and research, conducting project due diligence, and providing other relevant technical expertise on a variety of clean energy technologies.

    Cadmus works with a wide variety of clients, including electric and gas utilities, municipalities, government agencies, as well as businesses and private organizations.

    As the Portfolio Evaluation Practice Lead, you will be responsible for providing leadership, business development, and technical oversight on a variety of residential, commercial and industrial energy efficiency, distributed energy resources, and building decarbonization projects and programs.

    The successful candidate will identify project opportunities in strategic growth areas and develop data driven solutions that are beneficial to clients and regional stakeholders.

    The successful candidate should be prepared to win new work, grow existing work with clients, manage projects, lead a large team, and mentor junior staff.

    ResponsibilitiesBusiness DevelopmentOversee client relationships and represent Cadmus with major Energy Services clientsDevelop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts and build new client relationshipsProvide significant client advisory services and ensure personal client contactSecure new and repeat business for the business unit; identify new opportunities; lead capture strategy and proposal developmentBuild Cadmus reputation through conference presentations, papers, and other thought leadership activitiesSupport business growth strategy and contribute to attainment of business unit sales targets; work with senior management to develop and execute business development and account management plansTechnical LeadershipServe as a trusted technical expert to the Cadmus team and its clientsOversee and provide technical leadership for complex projects, by working with the team to develop comprehensive M&V plans, analysis methodologies, and calculation modelsEnsure adherence to high quality assurance/control standards in research methods, engineering approaches, and work products for all projects and defend methods and results to expert stakeholdersLead portfolio evaluations and building stock assessments providing technical leadership and overseeing project execution to meet client objectivesDevelop technical approaches for EM&V across a range of demand-side management programs, and complex energy efficiency projects, in accordance with IPMVP, UMP and other appropriate protocolsReport and present results and findings, as well as actionable recommendations to clientsStay abreast of industry, regulatory, and market trends; translate that knowledge into actionable strategic advice related to practice areaManagementLead the Program Evaluation & Performance teamContribute to overall company and business unit performance goals, project performance measures, utilization targets, and individual performance measuresCollaborate with other leaders/managers to ensure adequate support of Cadmus client contracts via qualified staff resourcesTake personal accountability for your work and actions, and hold team members accountable for theirsMentor and train mid- and junior-level staffOversee client engagements and ensure client deliverables are met on time and on budgetSecure and assign billable work, sufficient to meet staff utilization targetQualificationsBS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field15+ years of experience consulting in the utility or energy sectorMinimum 5 years of experience with demand side management program evaluationsAbility to generate & implement new ideas and innovative technical approachesProven success developing business with new clients and growing business with existing clientsExperience leading large-scale client engagements, including cradle to grave project management experienceField experience in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities, including performing site visits to verify energy efficiency measure installation, install metering equipment, and/or collect relevant dataExperience managing project teams of 10+ peopleExcellent written and oral communication skillsDesired QualificationsMS or MBA degreePE licenseNetwork of relationships with utility contactsExperience with building Energy Management SystemsCertified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP)Experience with energy simulation tools such as eQUEST, Trane TRACE, EnergyPro, or equivalentExperience installing a variety of energy metering equipmentAdditional Information:
    Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. CitizenThis position will be based in one of our office locations and will work closely with our staff throughout the countryWillingness to travel domestically (as needed)

    Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include:

    The minimum starting salary for this position is $143,000.

    The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
