    Description
    Our Client, a well respected DC Women's Shelter, is seeking a team of Part-Time Program Associates to assist an upcoming initiative to help the underserved population as we shift to the winter season starts.

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop a positive rapport with each client through routine contact and communication
    • Assist with step up of the program to include setting out breakfast and lunch items, toiletries, laundry and shower items, activity sheets
    • Assist with closing the program down to include cleaning the day program areas
    • Serving meals
    • Conduct program intake and initial health wellness screenings
    • Respond to immediate client needs, help de-escalate crisis situations, help resolve conflicts and enforce program rules
    • Complete program documentation to include daily activity sheets, monthly reports, and incident reports as needed
    • Provides support and assistance by completing care coordination tasks such as completing referrals for services and residency forms
    • Immediately report serious incidents, allegations, and sensitive program information to the Program Manager
    • Work in collaboration with volunteers and partner agencies who are providing services to the women
    • Participate in program team meetings, staff meetings, supervision meetings as required
    • Build and maintain quality working relationships with colleagues, external and internal stakeholders
    • Participate in program quality improvement activities that improve program policies, procedures and client and program outcomes
    • Adhere to agency policies and procedures
    • Other duties as assigned
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree and 1 year of direct social services experience, or
    • HS Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of direct social services experience, or
    • HS Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of work experience
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience working with vulnerable populations and the related issues of addiction and mental illness strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with DC' Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
    • Knowledge of issues facing those who are experiencing homelessness or other vulnerable populations
    • Working knowledge of trauma
    • Values commensurate with a community committed to providing inclusive services without regard to race, religion, physical or mental ability, sexual orientation, or gender identity
    • Experience with, or capacity to learn, data visualization techniques and software
