    The base salary for this position is dependent upon expereince and location.
    Portland, OR - $11,544.00 to $139,431.00

    The Avangrid Renewables Manager, Materials Sourcing & Repairs reports to the Director of Supply-Chain & Logistics and is responsible for all sourcing functions for inventory materials to ensure industry leading operations and maintenance performance at over 60 wind power plants in the US with a capacity of 7+ GW and growing.

    Key Responsibilities

    Responsible for Materials Spend Budget of >$50M annually, to include all aspects of cost reduction initiatives on materials through pricing bids and repair strategies.

    Lead and manage the Sourcing group for inventory materials. Mentor, develop and train staff while creating a culture that attracts high quality professional and rewards teamwork and results.
    Ensure qualified sources of supply for all materials required by Commercial Operations. Manage risk and improve leverage by implementing multiple sources of supply.
    Anticipate and resolve any quality issues or risks. Take lead in driving resolution to quality issues as they arise to maintain performance of the fleet.

    Develop, manage and improve supplier performance and relationships in collaboration with Inventory Planning Manager through use of appropriate KPI's and supplier scorecard.

    Drive costs down for materials and components through advanced repair strategies.

    Negotiate and benchmark pricing and contracts while making sure continuity of supply is not disrupted by the bid process timing.

    Work with engineering group to identify and implement reliability improvements, new sources of supply, and component repairs. Evaluate and implement internal component repair program.
    Work with Corporate Purchasing to develop, publish and evaluate requests for proposals consistent with Company policies.

    Develop and implement Sourcing Strategies for strategic commodities that deliver >97% availability while fitting within the inventory model and turns objective.

    Lead and participate in projects related to but not limited to internal/external repair, fleet technology upgrades, supplier inventory strategies, reverse logistics optimization, customer (wind site) satisfaction improvements, supplier quality improvements and implementation of barcoding capabilities across the supply-chain.

    Additional Responsibilities
    Develop and implement key performance metrics to measure against goals and objectives. Seek feedback from internal customers and make improvements.
    Ensure efficient work processes and robust documentation: internal procedures, repair processes, contracts, etc. Meet all Company Policies. Work to improve processes.
    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

    7+ years of supplier management experience: including qualifying suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, managing supplier quality and warranty claims, etc.

    Fluent in reading and interpreting technical documents, drawings and

    specifications.
    Strong understanding of purchasing workflows and SAP/ ERP systems.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to work with all levels of the organization, and as a leader of a team.

    Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills with the ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing business environment with typically tight schedules and demanding targets
    Exhibit skills and attitude which demonstrate commitment to company policies, principles and processes.
    Demonstrated ability and initiative to manage time effectively while working with minimal supervision.
    Ability to maintain confidentiality of the department and team.
    Proficient with SAP and MS Office suite.
    Ability to travel (25%).
    Preferred Qualifications
    Experience with wind plant construction, operations, and maintenance.
    Experience managing a repair center operation.
    Master's Degree in a relevant field
