Part-Time Activity Assistant at Ivy Park at San Tomas - San Jose

Job summary
The Activity Assistant is responsible for assisting with organizing scheduling promoting facilitating and directing the activities and excursions for the Community in order to enhance the residents independence and quality of life.This includes providing an interesting creative rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Community promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities excursions special events guest speakers movie showings exercise sessions establishing clubs games art creativity opportunities educational classes etc.
In addition to these duties this role requires developing recruiting managing scheduling community volunteers communicating effectively displaying tact friendliness when dealing with residents families visitors coworkers supervisors maintaining a safe secure environment following established safety standards driving community vehicles encouraging teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers other departments. The ideal candidate will have at least 18 years of age high school diploma or equivalent one year experience coordinating teaching activities seniors current Class C license Passenger Endorsement ability operate personal computer proficient MS Office programs Word Excel Publisher PowerPoint etc.
