*American Medical Staffing (AMS) puts you first, and we are currently seeking a Correctional – Nurse Practitioner to join our corrections medical team in Chesapeake, Virginia. We are looking for Nurse Practitioners that are certified and licensed without a written or electronic practice agreement with a patient care team physician. This is a medium security men's state prison with a maximum capacity of 1,192 inmates.

* *Requirements:

Qualified applicants MUST have at least 5 years of experience, preferably in a corrections or similar setting, have a valid Nurse Practitioner license and be willing to obtain VA licensure.

As a Correctional Nurse Practitioner you will play a crucial role in providing medical care to incarcerated individuals, contributing to their well-being and rehabilitation.

You will collaborate with healthcare providers and correctional staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Correctional care positions can often offer healthcare professionals more independence in how they practice and the ability to grow professionally.
