    Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

    Department: Information Technology

    FLSA Status: Exempt - Non-Represented

    Reports To: CIO/Chief Information Security Officer

    Salary Range: $72,700 - $90,900

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Ensures proper installment of 3rd party systems to include processes and training as well as set-up and custom reports. Tests the effectiveness of new and existing systems. Manages the flow of information and adherence of vendors to IT project timelines. Assists with data extractions and business intelligence reporting.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Trouble-shoots and supports users of all system internally developed and externally purchased.
    2. Manages implementation of hardware and software purchases and updates.
    3. Develops Functional and Technical specifications of current and future process.
    4. Meets with technical teams.
    5. Reviews help desk logs and troubleshoots user issues.
    6. Responds to various inquiries from departments concerning hardware and software updates, performance, solutions to data issues and overall processes.
    7. Provides analysis and monitors dashboards
    8. Performs other duties as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field required.
    2. Five (5) years of related experience required. Experience with developing and troubleshooting Oracle packages and procedures. Experience with Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL) development. Experience troubleshooting software applications. Experience working with 3rd party vendors.
    3. Two (2) years of related experience required. Experience implementing enterprise systems. Experience with project management duties and tools. Experience with Tableau business intelligence software.
    4. Two (2) years of experience as a technology focused Business Analyst in an industrial, warehousing, facilities management or Mobile computing environment preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    1. Knowledge of systems analysis procedures and best practices.
    2. Knowledge of Project management software.
    3. Knowledge of Crystal Reports and Tableau.
    4. Knowledge of Procedural/ Structured Query Language.
    5. Knowledge of ANSI Structured Query Language.
    6. Knowledge of Oracle packages and procedures.
    7. Knowledge of dashboard creation.
    8. Skilled in the use of computers, spreadsheet and database software.
    9. Ability to learn Milwaukee County Transit System services and operations.
    10. Ability to troubleshoot and upgrade software.
    11. Ability to review and develop project plans.
    12. Ability to develop and test problem solutions.
    13. Ability to develop and manage project plans.
    14. Ability to write detailed project specifications.
    15. Ability to stay current on IT issues.
    16. Ability to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships.
    17. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
    18. Ability to work independently.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

    1. Work is frequently conducted in an office or similar indoor environment relatively free from unpleasant conditions or hazards.
    2. Physical requirements are those described as sedentary work exerting 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently.
