- Works closely with Catering Sales and clients to understand their event needs and preferences, and tailors banquet services to meet these requirements.
- Collaborates with the culinary team to design menus and coordinates food service for events.
- Ensures all banquet spaces are impeccably maintained and set up according to event specifications.
- Oversees the hiring, training, and development of banquet staff, ensuring a high standard of service.
- Schedules banquet service staff to forecast and service standards, while maximizing profits.
- Manages banquet budget, including cost control and revenue generation, and provide regular financial reports.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and quality of banquet services.
- Coordinates with other departments (sales, marketing, housekeeping, outlets, and engineering) to ensure seamless event execution.
- Addresses and resolves any issues or concerns raised by clients or staff promptly and professionally.
- Maintains established sanitation levels.
- Manages departmental inventories and maintains equipment.
- Stays updated with the latest trends in event management and strive to enhance the hotel banquet offerings.
- Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
- Communicates and executes departmental and property emergency procedures and ensures staff are trained in safety procedures.
- Observes service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals.
- Participates in the development and implementation of corrective action plans.

- Conducts monthly department meetings with the Banquet team.
- Applies and continually broadens knowledge of food and wine pairings and cutting edge cuisine with emphasis on current event trends.
- Leads shifts and actively participates in the servicing of events.
- Sets a positive example for guest relations.
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
- Ensures employees understand expectations and parameters.

- Reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in banquet or event management, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Proficient in banquet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
