    Job Title

    A Project Manager is sought in the Memphis region to lead commercial construction projects for Stansell, a rapidly growing WBE certified general contractor specializing in restaurant dining and quick service food.

    The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in commercial retail construction project management, preferably with quick service restaurants. They possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, organizational abilities, and a strong understanding of construction procedures and material management principles.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead a team environment based on core values of Respect, Commitment, Teamwork, Integrity, Reliability, and Professionalism.
    • Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, etc. to determine project specifications.
    • Organize and oversee construction procedures to ensure timely completion.
    • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
    • Obtain necessary permits and licenses from authorities.
    • Determine resources needed from start to finish while adhering to budget limitations.
    • Coordinate with on-site Superintendents to plan construction operations and schedule intermediate phases.
    • Secure subcontractors for specific trade needs.
    • Evaluate progress and apply necessary changes to achieve planned goals.
    • Lead overall project closeout process.
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and report issues.

    Requirements and Skills

    • Minimum 3 years commercial retail construction project management experience, preferably with quick service restaurants.
    • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material management principles.
    • Familiarity with construction/project management software, including Sage 100 and Procore.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • A team player with leadership abilities.
    • BS/BA in engineering, building science, or construction preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and other PC software.
    • Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce project safety plan.
