    Description

    About The Role

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Finance Associate to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, the finance associate will play a critical role in driving financial planning and analysis activities across our organization. The associate will provide strategic support to senior management including preparing board & monthly financial presentations, financial modeling, and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support optimal business decision making.

    What You'll Do

    Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Support the development and execution of the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process.
    • Drive variance analysis and provide insights into key performance drivers.
    • Build, own, and improve existing dynamic, detailed and scalable financial and operational models, including our five-year long-range plan, driven by key financial and operational metrics to facilitate scenario analysis.
    • Partner with senior leadership to assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives and business decisions.
    • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

    Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Coordinate with finance and accounting teams in US & Canada to ensure consistency in financial reporting and alignment with corporate goals.
    • Collaborate with department heads to gather and analyze financial data for accurate forecasting.

    Financial Reporting:
    • Craft executive level presentations for the Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team and External Investors to facilitate management discussion and analysis of key financial and business performance indicators.
    • Prepare monthly business reviews 'MBR' for executive management, highlighting key trends and performance indicators.

    Salary Range: $100,000-140,000 plus bonus

    Requirements

    Qualifications
    • 3-5 years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst/Associate, Associate in Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Strategy or similar
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (or equivalent)
    • Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals. Possess strong organizational and time management skills
    • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with formal presentation building experience
    • Strong communicator with ability to present concepts, recommendations and analyses to management in a clear, concise and actionable manner
    • Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results
    • Proactive and self-motivated to solve problems; comfortable with a high degree of responsibility and ambiguity and discretion in handling confidential information
    • Ability to work well and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
