    Description
    Heritage Valley Health System is looking for a Casual pharmacist at our Kennedy location.

    The Heritage Valley Kennedy pharmacy supports the hospital campuses' Emergency Department, Behavioral Health Units, Surgical Suite, and other areas of patient care.

    Pharmacist can enjoy a team approach with opportunities in operations, as well as clinical monitoring. Hours of operation for the pharmacy are 7:00am to 3:00pm daily. Weekend only candidates are welcomed. Opportunities for additional hours at other campuses may be available.

    This position exists to procure, prepare and distribute medications and maximize patient care in a safe, accountable, cost effective manner.

    This position is responsible to provide consultative and drug information services to the medical staff, nursing staff, and the community.

    This position is required to work with the management staff to continuously monitor and improve the medication use process.

    Requirements
    Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy

    • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
    • Must have the ability to expertly communicate verbally and in writing.
    • Must be adaptable to change.
    • Must know and understand the law as it applies to hospital practices.
    Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

    Preferred
    Two years of hospital experience.
