    Barrett Petfood is a family owned and operated Super Premium pet food manufacturer who cares about each individual they employ. We are currently hiring for a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor. This position will be responsible for overseeing the production of pet food manufacturing and sanitation of the plant during the shift. Come and work for a company like no other

    Summary

    The Production Supervisor will oversee the production to ensure efficiency and quality in the area of operation in a co-manufacturing setting.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Serves as the point of contact for work direction and issue resolution during 2nd shift.
    • Organizes, trains, directs, and oversees production employees.
    • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
    • Provides guidance to team members to address immediate staff issues.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborates with other supervisors on duty to coordinate operation in and among departments in the facility.
    • Regularly reports to the Production Manager and Director of Operations to collect, evaluate, analyze, and assess operation.
    • Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality.
    • Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
    • Develops and implements procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.
    • Continuously looks for process improvement and best practices.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Must have 3-5 years supervisory experience and proven leadership skills.
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
    • Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
