- Ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting of financial information.
- Assist the CFO in analyzing program costs and financial impacts.
- Support budget and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with the CFO on department goals.
- Monitor department work to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Advise on non-routine accounting transactions.
- Assist in achieving clean and timely year-end audits.
- Oversee accounting operations to meet financial reporting deadlines.
- Implement procedures to enhance department workflow.
- Set goals and objectives for staff development.
- Work on special projects and process improvements.
- Manage various accounting and finance activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and legal requirements.
- Work independently and make critical decisions.
- Resolve complex accounting issues.
- Make recommendations for process improvements.
- Support company and departmental goals.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- An additional 5 years of experience in an accounting management or controller role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant Certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance in a dental healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication, management, and problem-solving skills.
- Location: Long Beach, California
- Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Weekly Hours: 40
