    Description

    We are looking for a Payroll Specialist for a global fitness equipment manufacturer headquartered just outside of Madison, WI The Payroll Specialist will administer the company payroll function under the guidance of Finance and Human Resources.

    We are seeking candidates with multistate payroll experience and knowledge of pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. Please keep reading for more information on this exciting opportunity

    • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
    • Onsite in Cottage Grove, WI
    Responsibilities:
    • Process employee payroll information (timesheets, deduction authorizations, etc.), print or transmit paychecks, ensuring accurate and timely payments are made to employees
    • Ensure status changes and audits of time records are accurate and discrepancies are addressed and resolved
    • File required documents and reports according to company, state, and federal payroll guidelines
    • Analyze and respond to questions and concerns from employees regarding paychecks
    • Process garnishments and communicate garnishment information to all parties
    • Keep current with HR payroll policies and public policy changes affecting payroll rules and guidelines
    • Build professional Excel reports from payroll reporting software
    • Ensure that rules and regulations on confidentiality, privacy, and retention are followed
    Qualifications:
    • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
    • 3+ years of experience processing payroll for a multi-state employer
    • Experience with computerized payroll systems/HRIS systems, Paylocity a plus
    • Intermediate Excel skills including work with pivot tables and v-lookups
    • Experience with local, state, and federal pay and taxation regulations
    • Knowledge of standard payroll concepts, practices, and procedures
    • A professional, positive demeanor to deliver a high level of customer service
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to meet deadlines
