    Description


    Airswift is working in partnership with a publicly traded manufacturer of nonwovens as roll goods for wipes as well as for medical and hygiene products, which is currently recruiting for a Automation & Controls Engineer to be based on-site in Wisconsin.


    The candidate will be key in driving continuous improvement, site OEE and supporting manufacturing for Automation and Control Systems across this non-union facility plant.


    Job Responsibilities:
    Support with troubleshooting the line and everyday operations, retrofitting equipment.
    Day to day quality operational improvements, and idea planning
    Investigating current Automation systems and recommending potential improvements
    Working closely with Production Managers and Process Engineers to maximize plant efficiency
    Active participation on improvement teams (OE teams) and contributing to ideas on how to improve the plant
    Help support safety design improvements
    Working with a variety of site personnel and contractors including maintenance, production, office personnel and controls vendors
    Planning and project management for production improvements for controls systems
    Available for on-call duty, nights twice per week and every third weekend


    Required Experience:
    At least 2 years of Continuous Process Manufacturing experience
    PLC experience, specifically troubleshooting, programming and writing code (Allen Bradley, PanelView)
    Controls and Design for AutoCAD
    Electrical Maintenance exposure
    Critical thinker- whole picture thinker who can assess and understand how an issue fits into a whole system before acting
    Reliable and dependable with good work ethic
    Prioritizes safety
    Engineering Degree or background promoting up from electrician
