- Design, create, implement, maintain, tune and support DB2/UDB databases on UNIX and z/OS preferred.
- Create and Monitor JCL jobs for management and monitoring preferred.
- Provide DBA support for all IMS tools including BMC (preferred)
- Create tables/indexes and promote to various subsystems, including production using BMC change manager preferred.
- Execute effective processes for database backup, recovery and maintenance utilities preferred.
- and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with DB2 catalogs, tables spaces, and indexing strategies.
- Familiarity with measurement of database performance, capacity monitoring, and tuning processes.
- 1+ years of combined in-depth experience with operating system architecture, design, concepts, analysis, networking and/or cloud systems
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing software oriented towards systems or network automation.
- Demonstrated familiarity with DevOps and SRE practices.
- Experience designing enterprise systems incorporating the appropriate balance of performance, cost, availability, redundancy, fault tolerance, availability, security and other factors.
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting systems.
- Thorough knowledge of software monitoring with a basic understanding of the following:
- DB2/UDB databases hosted on Unix or z/OS
- DB2 catalogs, tables spaces, and Indexing strategies
- JCL job management and monitoring
- DBA support for all Information Management Systems (IMS)
