The RN reviews the patient#s medical history and referral to determine the most appropriate care team for the patient and then works in collaboration with a team member to schedule the patient in a timely manner.
The Intake RN also connects the patient with the appropriate RN Navigator based on the diagnosis or symptom.The Intake RN will demonstrate clinical assessment expertise, triage expertise and outstanding customer service throughout the interaction for both external and internal users.
The Intake RN must communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and external contacts using tact, discretion, and diplomacy.# This person must possess well developed problem solving and team development techniques.# Key responsibilities include direct patient care, participation in staff development and education, and quality improvement initiatives.
