**Position Summary/Objective**
The Delivery Driver position is responsible for delivering company restaurant supplies and equipment in a company vehicle and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
**Essential Functions & Responsibilities**
Safely operate a box truck (anywhere from 16 to 32) and transport purchased restaurant equipment and supplies to clients in a company vehicle
Safely unload and deliver merchandise to customer sites using the equipment provided (hand truck, pallet jack, 4-wheel dolly) and ensure all proper paperwork is in order
Provide excellent customer service to clients. Be a liaison between client and company during deliveries and alert the appropriate person/department if issues arise
Process the appropriate paperwork for shipping and receive of company product.
Assist and perform warehouse operation duties as required
Interact with customer representatives in a professional, friendly, and attentive manner during delivery.
Have all orders checked in by customer and get customer to sign or get name for invoice
**Competencies, Skills & Abilities**
Valid drivers license and a clean driving record
Ability to perform physical demands, as listed below. Must be able to move and lift 75 lbs. and frequently bend, twist, reach and lift
Excellent communication skills
Professional appearance is a must
Dependable, reliable and team player
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
Must have good record-keeping skills, attention-to-detail, and the ability to check for errors and be able to problem-solve
Be able to interface with other departments and teams in a professional and cooperative manner
Work diligently and professionally in the pursuit of department and company goals. Be able to displace a disciplined, professional attitude always
Ability to use pallet jack and forklift
**Education & Experience**
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior truck driving experience is a must (minimum 16 truck)
Prior experience operating a hand truck and liftgate a plus.
DOT medical card
Valid Class C license
**Background**
Ability to successfully pass a background check
May be asked to perform a drug test for specific positions
Must be a legal citizen or otherwise permitted to legally work in the US without sponsorship
