    About the Position


    Foursquare is looking for a Business Operations Manager to join our team located in or near one of our office hubs - New York City, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco.

    This position reports directly to the Head of Business Operations, but will support a variety of teams across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, and R&D.

    About the Team


    The Business Operations team is a driver of operational efficiency, enabling growth and acceleration through process design, tooling improvements, and optimizing operational cadences.

    We manage the operating rhythm of the company, bridging strategy and execution, and ensuring alignment of each department with corporate vision and strategic goals of the company.

    Business Operations helps leadership navigate their businesses more effectively, particularly around plans to attack areas of growth, removal of systemic inefficiencies and risk management.

    About the Role

    Foursquare is looking for a passionate individual who can drive alignment and productivity across Foursquare.

    This role will play a pivotal role in overseeing our internal business operations, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and smooth daily functioning.

    This individual will play a lead in the streamlining of processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to optimize our operations.

    Company wide operating mechanisms will be a key area of focus, ensuring Foursquare is focused on the single most important initiatives, driving progress and ultimately growth for the company.

    They'll achieve this through the development and management of measurable, data-driven, and repeatable sets of processes that enable velocity, experimentation, quality, and confidence.

    In this role, you'll

    Provide guidance and support to other operational teams within FSQ, helping guide process improvements and informing strategic decision making.

    Process Optimization:
    Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.


    Be a trusted advisor to Product and Engineering Leadership, helping them drive the effectiveness of their teams while helping them shape and prioritize product and operational strategies.

    Be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and implementing processes that ensure FSQ is operating as effectively and efficiently as possible.


    Lead and oversee strategic projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation, utilizing data-driven insights to drive alignment and solutioning across internal teams.

    Oversee our procurement process, managing guidelines, streamlining workflows, and developing process improvements to increase efficiency and improve cost management and transparency


    Develop and manage our QBR process, collaborating with key leaders in Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing and People teams to provide a clear and concise assessment of the business.


    Collaborate with leadership teams to define clear and measurable company-wide OKRs, tracking progress and analyzing results to identify improvement in the process.

    What you'll need

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree or MBA preferred

    6+ years of professional experience with 4+ years experience in an Operations-focused role in a tech company

    Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and/or transformation efforts of significant scope

    Familiar in the systems and tools leveraged by Operations teams, including G Suite/Microsoft Office, Highspot, Salesforce, Tableau

    Experience with cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product & Engineering, and Finance

    Results-oriented with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence partners and senior leaders, earning credibility based on domain expertise and a track record of getting things done

    Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects on tight timelines

    Analytical in nature, leveraging data to drive influence and strategy

    Hybrid Work Schedule

    for in-person collaboration on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays beginning April 1, 2024. For roles considered remote, this will not apply.


    At Foursquare, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry and market standards.


    Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and specific office location.

    The annual total cash compensation range is

    $110,000 - $130,000,

    howeveractual salaries can vary based on a candidate's qualifications, skills and competencies, as well as location.

    Salary is just one component of Foursquare's total compensation package, which includes restricted stock units, multiple health insurance options, and a wide range of benefits
