    The qualified applicant will support a United States Space Command agency in the development and execution of system management responsibilities.

    The applicant will ensure the successful design, installation, configuration, testing, security, and maintenance of all classified and unclassified networks and will ensure system management tools are operating at maximum efficiency in a secure environment.

    The applicant will also contribute to the planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations.

    Our team is looking for a Systems Administrator to focus on the development, security, and administration of a wide variety of systems and environments.

    You will be responsible for deploying and configuring software and hardware releases to unclassified/classified environments.

    You will also be responsible for maintaining these systems, configuring both operating systems and software products, as well as installing required software patches and security updates for the systems.

    In addition, you will provide support by resolving system problems, creating and troubleshooting accounts, providing system backups, and performing system maintenance.

    Familiarity with DevSecOps culture, automation, and platform design will greatly help your integration into the team.

    You will have the opportunity to participate in real-world, cutting-edge systems which are changing how the Space community is doing business.

    The qualified candidate must have strong communication and troubleshooting skills along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Due to the need to support classified work, this position requires the successful candidate to work on-site at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), CA.


    Required Skills:
    Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent; experience, applicable training, and/or certifications (6 years) may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree

    8+ years of Information Technology System Administration experience

    Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud tools; Azure Administrator, DevOps Engineer, Support Engineer certification(s) a plus

    Experience with client account management support (e.g., Windows Active Directory, GPO, Exchange server, DNS, application upgrades)

    Advanced knowledge in configuring and managing various hardware environments and platforms as well as ensuring the system security posture is maintained

    Support common Operating Systems (e.g., Windows Server/Workstation, Linux) and address complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions

    Proven customer service, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize efficiency of IT systems

    Understand and implement basic security, backup, and redundancy strategies

    Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, taking the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly, and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities

    High level of self-motivation, ability to define, manage, and prioritize tasks in a team environment

    Must be a U.S. Citizen due to DoD contract requirements

    Minimum Secret clearance is required to start. Active Top Secret is preferred with SCI eligibility

    Able to obtain DoD 8570 Certification (Security+, CISSP etc.)


    Desired Skills:
    Experience with scripting languages such as Windows Powershell and Unix shell for troubleshooting and automation of routine tasks to increase efficiency

    Capable of interpreting and applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

    Experience with cybersecurity tools e.g., ACAS, SIEM, HBSS/ESS

    Ability to develop operational checklists to maintain day-to-day operations (daily, weekly, monthly, annually) and generate associated Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

    Experience with supporting ticketing systems to organize and distribute incoming customer service requests and ensure Service Level Agreements are consistently achieved

    Ability to assess and mitigate system threats/risks throughout the program lifecycle

    Experience designing and defining system architecture for information technology environments and cloud computing

    Salary Range:
