Stamford Hospital is seeking a
Per Diem Labor & Delivery Surgical Technician to join our L&D Department.

The Labor & Delivery Tech will assist the surgical team by acting as the primary scrub person who handles instruments, supplies and other related equipment during surgical procedures.

This individual will maintain a sterile environment under the direct supervision of the RN.


Schedule:

Per Diem Night shift, 7pm-8am. 5 shifts per 6 week schedule including 2 weekend shifts.


Competitive night shift differential

Physical effort characterized as medium work requiring exertion of 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 lbs. frequently. Required working standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, reaching and twisting to a significant degree. May also be required to work standing on an elevated platform when necessary.


Responsibilities

1) High School diploma or equivalent required

2) Graduate of a surgical technologist program or equivalent training

3) Certification as a Surgical Technologist highly preferred

4) BLS certification required
