You will help foster a hands-on, servitude culture impacting our team's commitment in meeting our customer's expectations and will help drive our solution-based business model.

You will be responsible for executing a focused effort to improve operational effectiveness and strategic projects. Success in this position requires the development of collaborative relationships and delivery of measurable results through improvement projects. This position will also be supporting our Bridgeview, IL facility.

Key Responsibility:

Develop a deep understanding of products, customers, goals, organization, and business strategies, evaluating systems and processes, and identifying improvement needsReview, follow and advise on operational processes and detect areas that can be improvedFollow established and current lean initiatives, advocate and foster continuous improvement activitiesParticipate in the purchasing processes for operation's machines and equipment, following the annual CAPEX investment plan for new acquisitionsDevelop, train, and educate operation staff, guide technical directionWork with maintenance team to maximize efficiencies and develop a pro-active plan to eliminate non-value activities and reduce scrapAssist in the preparation of a critical spare parts list and work to improve current PM programSupport plant operations on equipment related issues that come up in the plant and helps insure smooth plant operationIdentify ways to improve efficiency and productivity, and providing maintenance and support activities for all existing solutionsMonitor industry trends and implement appropriate methods to keep production on the cutting edge, while meeting financial goals and providing cost savingsUtilize training skills to facilitate employee involvement for factory visuals, user documentation, presentations, and progress and results trackingManage execution and timely completion of engineering projects by analyzing scope and determining project specifications, establishing testing methods for product investigations, analyzing test programs for adequacy and sequence, examining samples for compliance with requirements, and preparing reportsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering; preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering3-5 years' experience, preferably in the Liquids or Aerosol filling/packaging industryStrong advocate for safety and quality control processesExperience in developing and executing Capital projects to reduce downtime and/or costsMust be a "hands on" problem solverProven ability to analyze and troubleshoot production processesPassion for coaching and team building in operationsProcess experience with PM certificationStrong interpersonal skills with the confidence to interact and communicate effectively with personnel from all levels of the organizationAbility to work both in office and on the plant floor, in hot and cold conditions, standing / walking at least 4 hours per dayRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
