    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
    Provides regulatory compliance knowledge to support Private label sales.

    This responsibility includes but not limited to knowledge of FDA-CFR reference, regulatory compliance of certification programs including Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Kosher and Halal, understanding of current regulatory and legal issues in the dietary supplement and food industry.

    Assists in Private Label approval process by review and following up on pending label approvals and revisions with PL sales, Legal and Quality departments.

    Assists in Private Label production process by reviewing items on the production schedules for label updates and sending update requests.

    This responsibility includes reviewing the Private Label planning report prior to label printing for needed approval updates.

    Assists in monitoring bulk and lot changes for PL inventory and notifying parties of needed panel updates with lot changes.

    Assists in structure/function claim approval process by preparing forms for routing in Sharepoint.
    Procures technical information from QA databases for Private Label sales. Verifies accuracy of finished product specifications and supporting documentation.
    Reads and interprets quality and R&D documentation including COAs, Master Formulas, and other vendor documentation.
    Verifies and reviews Private Label documents and labels against NOW documentation for accuracy.
    Provides clerical support for other Science Group projects.

    Assists with CUSMA (NAFTA) (spell out both) documentation for Puresource by researching Canadian tariff codes for new and existing items.

    Assists with SDS request submissions when requested by Marketing and Sales. Able to provide SDS documents when requested.
    Complies with safety and GMP requirements.

    Responsible for incident investigations, job hazard analyses, risk assessments, inspections, training, employee involvement, and enforcement of workplace health and safety policies and requirements.

    Acts as the primary communicator of safety information in the department. Encourages employees' participation in the safety effort. Fulfills responsibilities as outlined in the company safety management plan.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    Associates degree from a two year post high school college. Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university preferred.

    A minimum of two years' professional experience directly related to FDA DSHEA regulations (labeling requirements for foods, dietary supplements, and cosmetics, certification programs, and other regulatory requirements) is required.

    Working knowledge of Nutrition, Biochemistry, or related field is preferred.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical quality data and procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    OTHERS SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    Excellent interpersonal, and organizational skills and good attention to detail required. Basic computer skills required, including proficiency with Word and Excel. Oracle experience preferred.

    REASONING ABILITY
    Excellent problem solving skills required.
